The keyboard
A keyboard waits by the wall. One key nobody uses opens a very small door behind it.

The microphone waits by the stool. It has heard plenty of songs sung just for the fun of it.

A scrap of paper holds a half-written chorus. Its last line is only a hum, which is how the best ones start.
